Bigger. Faster. Stronger. That is what Derrick Henry has become this offseason.
Whether it’s working out in Tuscaloosa at the Alabama training facility or in Nashville, the Titans back up running back is acting as if he’s the starter.
You can see a difference in his footwork (see tweet below) his demeanor and even in the way he handles the media. Last year, Henry was a tough cookie to crack in the locker room. Very short answers and he almost acted like he didn’t want to talk to you. We got Henry to open up a little bit last season towards the end of the year when we recounted his childhood Christmas list.

This year, Henry just feels comfortable. He’s confident in his ability and he has the mentality that Jon Robinson wants in his players. Team First.
In our chat, Henry flat out said that this Tennessee Titans team is on the rise. That’s hard to argue. In just one season, the two-tone blue went from the worst team in the NFL to the cusp of a playoff birth. I have a feeling that even with the success of DeMarco Murray, Mike Mularkey and his coaching staff will find more ways to get Henry involved in the game plan.
