The Tennessee Titans are no longer a long shot to be a relevant team in the NFL.
They’re now a frontrunner in the AFC.
And that’s mostly thanks to one person — general manager Jon Robinson.
There’s no doubt that Robinson has constructed a team that’s built to win not only now, but also in the future. The mix of young talent and savvy veterans that he’s put together is what makes the Titans one of the most intriguing teams to watch in the league.
NFL Network analyst Charles Davis recently recognized the job Robinson has done, telling Titans Online “I love the moves GM Jon Robinson has made, and he has been making excellent moves since he took over as GM, in the draft and free agency. The Titans are now looking to take things to the next level.”
Davis added “It’s going to be a lot of fun to watch them”.
While Davis is obviously a fan of Robinson’s work, he also knows the time is now for the Titans, saying “This is no longer a franchise that’s on the rise”.
With a new head coach in Mike Vrabel, and two stud coordinators in Matt LaFleur and Dean Pees, the expectations will be high for the Titans in 2018. Even with a first time head coach.
And it won’t be easy for the Titans to reach those expectations. Not in the AFC South.
The Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars are both expected to be Super Bowl contenders. And the Indianapolis Colts, if they can get Andrew Luck healthy, won’t be a pushover in 2018.
No one knows how the 2018 season will play out, but it should be an incredibly fun one to watch.
