Rivals national recruiting analyst Mike Farrell recently predicted that the Tennessee Vols will land a pair of 2020 defensive linemen.
Farrell is predicting that four-star defensive end BJ Ojulari and three-star defensive tackle Octavious Oxendine will end up committing to Tennessee.
Ojulari, 6-foot-3/222 lbs from Marietta, GA, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 18 player in the state of Georgia and the No. 10 weak side defensive end in the nation.
Oxendine, 6-foot-2/308 lbs from Radcliff, KY, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 7 player in the state of Kentucky and the No. 49 defensive tackle in the nation.
Ojulari, who has offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson and LSU, among others, has visited Tennessee six times since last July — more than he’s visited any other school. It certainly seems inevitable that Ojulari will commit to the Vols.
Oxendine, who recently received offers from Penn State and Texas, attended junior day at Tennessee on March 2. He’s visited Kentucky twice this year. Farrell noted, however, that UT has led for Oxendine for “a while” and he doesn’t expect that to change.
The Vols’ 2020 recruiting class, which is ranked No. 31 in the nation, currently has 12 commits. With just under five months to go until the early signing period begins, there’s no doubt Tennessee could use a couple of commits.
