The Predators are back to their winning ways.

The Nashville Predators and Anaheim Ducks met at Bridgestone Arena on Saturday night for a rematch of last year’s Wester Conference Final and the Preds continued their winning ways against Anaheim with a 3-2 win in the shootout.

The Predators got off to a rather slow start as they were out shot by the Ducks 16-9 in the opening frame.

The scoring got going in the second period as each team found the back of the net. Kevin Fiala got the scoring going for the Predators eight minutes into the period. Just over three minutes later the new Duck, Adam Henrique, tied things up with a power play tally.

In the third period, Cam Fowler lit the lamp for Anaheim making it a 2-1 contest, but later on in the period Calle Jarnkrok found the back of the net for his fourth goal of the season to knot things back up at 2-2.

Regulation would end with the score knotted at 2-2 and the game would go to the shootout.

In the shootout, only the Predators would find the back of the net. Fiala was the first to score for Nashville before Kyle Turris ended the contest with a wicked wrist shot.
