It’s not often that I advocate offering a scholarship to a seventh grader, but it’s also not often that a seventh grader is the nephew of Tennessee Vols legend Peyton Manning.

Arch Manning, the son of Peyton’s older brother Cooper, is already turning heads as a middle schooler at Isidore Newman School — the same school that his uncles attended.

(Apparently that’s Arch’s little brother at center.)

Jeremy Pruitt clearly needs to quickly offer Peyton’s nephew, but landing the already supremely talented quarterback will be far from a slam dunk.

While Arch obviously has a solid connection to Tennessee, he’s an Ole Miss legacy through and through. His dad, uncle (Eli) and both grandparents attended Ole Miss, so it’s going to be tough to steal the New Orleans native from the Rebels.

The Vols’ biggest hope is that Ole Miss is down on their luck and Pruitt has righted the ship at Tennessee by the time National Signing Day rolls around in 2024.
