Former Tennessee Vols head coach Lane Kiffin hasn’t been a guest on Vol calls in over a decade, but he made a comeback — kinda — on Wednesday night.
Current Vols head coach Jeremy Pruitt was making his weekly appearance on Vol calls on Wednesday night and had to ask for a question to be repeated because of a text he received from Kiffin that made him laugh.

Kiffin and Pruitt worked together at Alabama in 2016.
Pruitt wasn’t the only SEC coach that Kiffin, who is now the head coach at Ole Miss, was able to get a laugh out of this week, either.
Alabama head coach Nick Saban, who is usually a curmudgeon during press conferences, chuckled at a question this week that involved Kiffin.

I know there are still plenty of Tennessee fans who don’t care for Kiffin because of the way he left Knoxville in early 2010.
But I don’t think there’s any doubt that the SEC is more entertaining with Kiffin in the mix.
