Jeremy Pruitt was hired as the Tennessee Vols’ head coach for one reason and one reason only — to bring a national championship to Knoxville.
It’s been nearly 20 years since former head coach Phillip Fulmer was able to deliver a national championship to Rocky Top. Aside from a couple of seasons, things haven’t went very well at Tennessee since the Vols’ memorable 1998 season.
But the hiring of Pruitt has Vol fans optimistic that the good times are about to return to Knoxville.
